Listen to the person who disagrees with you most today -- their contradictions will be more helpful to you than you think. Having people agree with you and support you is great and all, but when all you have around you are 'yes' men, you don't get challenged. And when you don't get challenged, you don't know how to defend your opinions. You can't be afraid of conflict in life, because acting out of any kind of fear is not a good way to live your life.

Your keen observation skills are on fire today, so pay attention when they tell you that what you're seeing isn't quite on the up and up. You need to be careful who you deal with today, and trust only the people who have proven themselves to be trustworthy already. Everyone else might have a different agenda, one that doesn't bode well for your plans. Try not to get too paranoid, but just remember that it's wiser to be safe than sorry.

Mother's Day
Sad, we cannot celebrate Mother's Day outside.
My grandmother (aunt of my mom) is sick and need someone to look over. It's either my mom or I will have to stay at home to take care for her. By the way, she is 81 yrs old and with high blood. It has been 2 weeks since my lola suffered from high blood fluctuations and fever. After that incident, I just learned from my mom and aunt that she cannot remember our names... :( Right now, she's fine but still cannot remember us.
Anyway, my mom and I decided that the first half day was my grocery time, and at afternoon she will have her "gala". She will go to my sister at Lipa to meet her favorite "apo". That's her stress reliever. She really loves visiting Aaron, my nephew.
My mom and I have so many things in common...
* we're both aquarians
* sleepy
* we're not showy of feelings
* makulit sometimes
because i'm the youngest, my mom and I are always together. Sometimes we had small "tampuhan" from the simple things but most of the time we jive at each other. I adore my mom's patience and having strong personality that after all of those trials and problems that we encountered and is facing right now, she remain stand still..

What I read today
I love reading blogs...It was started maybe last years ago, when I was finding some ways to fight boredome and homesick.
In local showbiz, I like the looks of Iza Calzado. Also, I like her insights and perspectives which I learned from the magazines that featured her..While I'm reading on some of her articles on the net she always mentioned his father, I became curious who was his father looks like so I searched Lito Calzado's picture in Google images and I discovered a blog of a magazine editor which is a cousin of Iza. Since then, I became an avid follower of her blog. ..Topaz Horizon..
Aside from Topaz Horizon, several links became favorites:
Daphne's Diary... (I'm glad i found her blogsite.. like also Daphne Osena, host of Urban Zone, and her former show is F)

Still awake at 5am!
I'm a sleepy person, most of my friends knew it.. But why am I still awake at 5am?
If I'm enjoying doing something, it keeps me awake..
Things I do to keep me awake:
1. Invite friends to sleepover to my room.
When I am studying, I feel very sleepy. I remember when I was in Japan, I invited some dormmates to my room so we can together study. At the first night or two, the companionship kept me awake, but after several nights, I can't help myself but to sleep.
2. Play music.
I love music. Recently, I downloaded my favorite MTVs from Youtube so I can play anytime.
Take note: I cannot sleep when there is radio playing. Especially if it's a love song.
Maybe because most of the time, I know the lyrics or rhythm that my tendency is to sing together with the song. I think some people can relate to this.
3. Youtube.
4. Korean/Japanese Dramas
5. Watching Basketball (PBA) from the internet.
5. and Today...the reason why I am still awake was because of Facebook Poker...
Since 8pm maybe, I started to play with other players (even with strangers) with other nationalities. My goal actually is to hit $100K chips... First, I've been in the table with Blinds 1$/2$ because I don't want to bet too high stakes because I want to protect my $80K...
Then, I learned that if you will be able to have 10x flushes/straights cards, you will be able to get $10K chips...
I was awarded free $10K chips twice! But tonight my hands was not that too nice, and I ended up with $98.6K. Not bad, but I want $100K...I looked at my watch and it was 5am! See how addicted I am..

Aside from YouTube viewing, my newest addiction is Texas Poker online gaming with my friends. From the time that I was invited by Razel, and started to play even without knowing the rules of poker, I just got hooked.
I started reading the rules on how to play and watched some videos just to learn some tactics. And found out that this game may also require talent of bluffing, which I am not good at. But since this is online, and personally cannot see the face of the opponent, maybe I should try.. :P

We started creating a table composed of 3: Razel, Ate Menchie and me. Then next "sessions" were made up of Beth, Malen, Ron and Jayjay. After some few days, we began playing with other players from other FTSP departments. (Sometimes we didn't know each other personally).
Table should be up to 9 members only and I remember the instance that I cannot join because the table was full! So I just waited for someone to give up and waited for my turn :)
Highlights of poker playing with friends:
* I like hearing the sound of the chips going to my seat
* It's like you achieved a medal when you won the play. But when you lose it feels like you lose some cash. :P
* Everyone has nicknames and history :P
* Bonding with friends
* You can chat while playing
* You can have a cup of coffee, received some chips, tissue, drinks, donuts from other members.
