New Addictive Game at Facebook! Guess the Sketch Challenge

Our neighbor, Apple introduced me this game: "Guess the Sketch Challenge", a game application in Facebook. I have to try something new because sometimes I got bored in Poker and Farmville..

The rule of the game is to guess the item that the other player will sketch. Sometimes it may be in one word or two.. I admit, I am not good in drawing.. and that's the challenge for me. I was so nervous, the first time I draw along other 9 players (all were strangers!)..I know some of them were Filipinos because of their reactions in the sketches.. I remember, the first thing I sketched is Violin..Some commented, "nice".. while someone said, "Ang laki naman na violin nun!"..It made me laugh because, my drawing looks like a very big violin.. "Banduria ba yun?" hahaha...

Next item was a "Bee"...I like to put Jolly... then I would draw a Bee.. but in my nervousness because of the timer sound, my bee looked like a monster!! hahaha..someone commented: "Bee, na yun sa yo?" hahaha.. I looked at my drawing and I forgot to put wings!..Anyway, those comments did not made me down, instead it made me challenged to the next rounds.

At night, I invited Malen and Beth to this new game.. Then we searched for the other online friends and Beth invited Nanay Maan and Ate Menchie..And Jayjay also joined in the later part of the game... And these pictures were captured during our game last night.. :P

Guess the Sketch! :)

I really enjoyed this game!  We ended the game at around 1 AM  yesterday  :)

My Top 10 Movie Soundtracks

Finally, my first Note in our lyrics website,www.lyrics-buddy.com was finished!
See full lyrics and video thru clicking at the song title :)

Whenever I hear these songs, I always remember my favorite movies. These are my top ten Movie Soundtracks. Video clips were actually came from some movie scenes and I also included some lines of the song that touched my heart :)

1) Way Back Into love by Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett (Music and Lyrics Soundtrack)

I just love this song’s melody from start to finish.
This song has also a remake from Sam Milby that used to be the TV theme song of “Your song”. That’s why it’s hitting the airwaves until today.

Music and Lyrics is a 2007 romantic-comedy film, story of pop music idol (of the fictional band PoP!) played by Hugh grant and an aspiring writer (Drew Barrymore) as they were challenged to compose a song for the reigning pop diva.

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end

2) On the Side of me by Corrine May (Narnia Soundtrack)

The Chronicles of Narnia present the adventures of children who play central roles in the unfolding history of the fictional realm of Narnia. “On the side of Me” was the OST for Narnia’s Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia.

I’m not the easiest person to love
But you, you’ve opened your heart to show me what I’m worth
‘Cause you choose to be
On the side of me

3) Pocket Full of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield (The Ugly Truth Soundtrack)

Another romantic comedy movie.. :)
Casts: Katherine Heighl (Abby Ritcher) and Gerard Butler (Mike Chadway)

The sun is on my side.
Take me for a ride.
I smile up to the sky.
I know I’ll be all right.

4) Dream of Me by Kirsten Dunst (Get it over Soundtrack)

This music video was actually the part of the scene when Kelly(Kirsten Dunst) sings this song, Berke(Ben Foster) remembers of all their moments together and realizes that he is falling for her.

I’ll hide beneath the clouds
And whisper to the evening stars
They tell me love is just a dream away

5) I Hope That I dont fall In Love With You by Marc con (The Prince and Me Soundtrack)

The story of The Prince and Me goes like this: A Wisconsin student, Paige Morgan (Julia Stiles) meets a Danish prince, Edvard (Luke Mably), who persuades his Royal family to accept a commoner bride.

Well, I hope that I don’t fall in love with you.
‘Cause falling in love just makes me blue.
When the music plays and you display your heart for me to see.

6) Hot and Cold by Katie Perry (The Ugly Truth and The Proposal Soundtrack)

I watched these two movies (The Proposal and The Ugly Truth) consecutively that’s why I noticed that they had the same soundtrack Hot and Cold. Both movies were very funny and hilarious! :)

Cause you’re hot then you’re cold
You’re yes then you’re no
You’re in then you’re out
You’re up then you’re down
You’re wrong when it’s right

7) I Believe by Shin Seung Hoon (My Sassy Girl – Korean)

My Sassy Girl (Korean) is one of my favorite Korean films. It came to the point wherein I could memorize all the love commandments listed down by the main guy character just to please the Sassy Girl..

Kudaeran iyu-manuro naege-karun
kidarimjocha chungbunhi haengbokha-getjyo
Saranghan iyumanuro / tto haruga chinagago
onun gil ichodo / kidarilkeyo
Nan kudaeyoyaman hajyo

In English Translation:
You are the only reason…
To me the wait gives me enough happiness.
Love is the only reason…
As days pass by,
If you forget the way, I’ll be waiting
I do it for you.

8.) I Love You Goodbye by Juris (I Love You Goodbye Soundtrack)

I LOVE YOU GOODBYE is a MMFF film entry of 2009 by Laurice Guillen. Starring Gabby Concepcion, Angelica Panganiban, Derek Ramsay & Kim Chiu..

I hope someday you can
Find some way to understand I’m only doing this for you
I don’t really wanna go
But deep in my heart I know this is the kindest thing to do

9) Tanging Mahal by Regine Velasquez (Pangako Ikaw Lamang Soundtrack)

Tanging mahal sa puso ko’y ikaw lamang
Sabihin mong pag-ibig kong minimithi
o inaasam
Kaylan pa ba maririnig ito sinta
Kung sana’y makapiling ka
Habang buhay aking sinta

10) Got To Believe in Magic – David Pomeranz (Zapped Soundtrack, Got2Belive in Magic Soundtrack)

Got to Believe in Magic was my all-time favorite song. Not to mention how I adore David Pomeranz, I also love Got2Believe local movie of Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan.
But before that, this song also used to be the official soundtrack of Zapped, an old movie back way 1982.

Got to believe in magic
Tell me how two people find each other
In a world that’s full of strangers

Tried something new!

Yesterday, my sister and I went to the parlor. We both have super black hair and we want to try something new.  My sister had her hair straightening with cellophane and I had my hair highlights... My first option was color red,  but the staff suggested copper since my hair was too black.  And I said okay.

And the color of my hair turned into somewhat similar with 1:43 of this video:

I just hope this hair color is not prohibited in our office :P

Today: Short Encounter with Jollibee :)

Who doesn't love Jollibee?

Today is the 7th Birthday celebration of my niece and "inaanak" Florence. I almost forgot that today is her celebration because I wasn't able to input in my reminders...I slept at dorm super late at night because last night was our Department's Christmas Party and I woke up 11:30! A single text from Florence' mom reminded me that today I should be at the venue at 3PM cause I volunteered to be the photographer...Of course, I used again my "buzzer beater" ability.

Held in Jollibee, kids and moms enjoyed the event with some parlor games and with the presence of Jollibee mascot.. :)

Jollibee and Florence doing the Dance Craze: "Nobody"

The buzzer beater Ninang and the bday celebrant

Even Jollibee mascot cannot escape to my shot!

Kyla RNB and Jay-R

I like Kyla and Jay-R as love team, even though Kyla has already a long time boyfriend Rich Alvarez, I just can't help myself to feel "kilig" every time I see Kyla and Jay-R....

Good thing, their episodes in Dear Friend has been uploaded already in Youtube...Last week, I finished the Part 1-8...so now I'm at Ep. 9.... :)

Timely Text Message Quotation

This afternoon, I received a very timely text message from Beth, my super buddy..

Here it goes...

Time will come that you'll give up something you were too afraid to lose,
Because you're not happy anymore...
It is when a fantasy turned to be a nightmare..
It is when the thing you once thought to be precious starts to hurt you...
It is when you ran out of reasons to stay...
It is when the need to hold on ceased...
It is when you had the courage to let go of something you've ever dreamt of...
It is when you realized it's time to MOVE ON...
And it's when you finally learned to be fair to yourself...

Very well said.. :)

Sunday Aquarian Horoscope

Keep your goals realistic; don't promise what you can't deliver. Stay sane.

You get a welcome breather from the nonstop action today. You don't know whether you're coming or going, but that's not the least of it. You see the best and worst sides of the people in your life, adding to your confusion about what to do. Following an impulse saves the day, although a more confusing issue remains obscured. It might be best to avoid making any major decision until this fog lifts.

Aquarius Horoscope and my "Eksena" for today 12/05/2009

Yes, I'm an addict horoscope reader!

This is my horoscope for today.. :)

It's sure that there are times you would really enjoy living the simple life, Aquarius. Wouldn't it be nice to settle into a happy rural lifestyle? But no: that's not what's happening today. You may have to make some adjustments to get in the mood, because something big is up in the relationship department sometime later today. The atmosphere around you may not be filled with the kind of hustle and bustle you've come to expect, and maybe outside circumstances will slow things down, but your thoughts are on love, and thoughts are things that won't be easily stopped.

I attended a baptismal party and I'm the official "ninang", and yet I'm late at the church, but had the chance to took the very last picture taking..Not to mention the super traffic, the taxi driver who committed to bring us to the church but ended up to took us to different "Marcelo church", my mother who fixed herself slower than me....So many reasons why I'm late!

"Pati ba naman sa church, buzzer beater pa rin?".... hahaha

My Yesterday's Horoscope! and Paranormal Activity Movie

Aquarius
Everyone is starting to see the logic; your arguments are winning converts.

In Detail

Work may not be as satisfying these days as it once was. Maybe you've grown so used to your job that it no longer stimulates your creativity, or perhaps your principal interests have simply moved in another direction. Reconciling this situation could be as simple as adding some extracurricular activities to your after-work existence or as complicated as changing careers. Only you can decide which course is right.

==> How true!!  :(

On the other happier side....

My office friends and I decided to see a movie...
Our options are:  Ninja Assassin, Christmas Carol and Paranormal Activity.

After finding out that the latter was not available at Shangri-la, we moved in at SM Megamall... (which turned out as not a good idea hahahaha) because we did not find this movie a good one. In fact, there are some part of the movie which we can fall asleep... hahaha...

Aquarian Horoscope for Today and Tomorrow (Dec 2 and 3, 2009)

December 2

Make sure you've considered all angles. A decision may have surprising results.

==> Today, I bravely submitted a resignation letter. As far I as I know, this decision I made was final...as long as my previous contract with the training I attended permits me.. Still waiting for the feedback...

I'm so curious what's in store tomorrow:

December 3

When you come to a wall, don't give up and turn around. Climb over it.

Half of life is just showing up, so don't sit this one out. The events that are about to take place are too important miss. Find a way to deal with whatever is bothering you and move on. Try not to let your emotions rule the rest of your body. You have enough inner strength to get through these circumstances, but you may not know it yet. Do whatever it takes to summon the courage you need to get past this so you can claim your next victory.

and lastly....

My Powerful Novena

I always use this novena prayer every time I really needed something...and it really works! Just recently, a good news that I heard was the one I've been praying for.  I'm really thankful and feel blessed  :) So I want to share this to all....

NOVENA PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

Sacred Heart of JesusDivine Jesus You have said, “Ask, and you shall receive; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”  Behold me kneeling at Your feet, filled with a lively faith and confidence in the promises dictated by Your Sacred Heart and pronounced by Your adorable lips, I come to ask this favor: (Here silently mention your petitions)
To whom can I turn, if not to You whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits?  Where should I seek, if not in the treasure which contains all the riches of Your kindness and mercy?  Where must I knock if not at the door through which God gives himself to us and through which we go to God?  I have recourse to You, Heart of Jesus.  In you I find consolation when afflicted, protection when persecuted, strength when burdened with trials, and light in doubt and darkness.
Dear Jesus, I firmly believe that You can grant me the grace I implore, even though it should require a miracle.  You have only to will it, and my prayer will be granted.  I admit that I am most unworthy of Your favors, but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged.  You are the God of mercy and You will not refuse a contrite heart   Cast upon me a look of mercy, I beg of You, and Your kind heart will find in my miseries and weakness a reason for granting my prayer.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, whatever maybe Your decision with regard to my request, I will never stop adoring, loving, praising, and serving You.  My Jesus, be pleased to accept this my act of perfect resignation to the decrees of Your adorable Heart which I sincerely desire may be fulfilled in and by me and all Your creatures forever.
Sacred heart of Jesus, I know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity  for those who are suffering or in distress.  Look upon me, I beg of You, dear Jesus, and grant me the grace for which I humbly  implore You, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother.  You have entrusted me to her as her child, and her prayers are all-powerful with You. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O Lord, I pray that in my home, peace, quiet and well being may prevail under the shadows of Your Holy mantle.  Bless and protect, O Lord, my endeavors,  my enterprises, and all those who depend on me and everything that I long for and desire.  Banish from my mind and my heart false ideas and evil sentiments.  Infuse in me a love of my neighbor and grant me the means to help him.  Give me resignation and fortitude of spirit in time of adversity, so that I may rise above the contradictions of life.  Guide and protect, O Lord, my own who are exposed to the dangers and contingencies of the world.  Do not forget, O my Jesus, our loved ones with whom we are united in life and whose departure from this earth caused us sorrow, at the same time consoled by the thought that, because they remained faithful to You, You did not abandon them at the hour of death.  Have pity on them, O Lord, and bring them their eternal glory in heaven.  Amen.

70's Songs Mania

Imagine a 3-4 hours stuck in the traffic, commute..I leave Pasig at around 8pm and arrived at home at 12:30 in the morning! What you can do is to appreciate the music played right in the bus.  Good thing, they played Abba and John Denver songs!  I do love this kind of music.

I watched 3 Movies in a Week!

Last Sunday 11/17 at SM Lipa, right after Manny Pacquiao's boxing match with Miguel Cotto...

Last Monday 11/20 at Shangrila..

Last Friday 11/22 at Shangrila again :)

My horoscope for today told me to blog

Get out your pen and pick up a brand-new journal. This wouldn't be a bad time to start a dream log. Your dreams will be especially prophetic now, so try to remember them when you wake up. Tracking what your mind does while you sleep can help you figure out what's going on in the real world. And, at the very least, you'll end up knowing a bit more about yourself.

This last week seems my busiest week ever! That's why I haven't manage to do even a single post to lyrics-buddy or to post a single line comment at twitter...

But since I got home today at 2pm, I can now start posting at our new site...
wehehe.. www.wehehe.com..Of course, I will first post my favorite funny youtube videos.. :)

Horoscope for November 21, 2009

Every now and then, your verbally rebellious streak takes control and becomes hard to handle. For now, though, since you're perfectly entitled to let someone have it who's had it coming for some time, why not indulge yourself? They need to be told, you need to tell them, and it's time get the ball rolling. Just don't hit too far below the belt. Clearing the air is one thing, verbal assault is quite another.

The 90/10 Principle by Stephen Covey

I got an email from Ate Menchie...Very timely..I really need this kind of article:

The 90/10 Principle
Author : Stephen Covey ( Management Guru)

Have you read this before?

Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way
you react to situations). What is this principle?

10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by
how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop
the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which
throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We
have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine
the other 90%. How?

By your reaction. You cannot control a red light., but you can control
your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a
cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what
just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how
you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the
cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your
spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of
the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave
immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your
daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office
20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has
started terrible. As it continues, it seems to! get worse and worse.
You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small
wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why?

Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is " D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee.

How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say,
"It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a
towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase,
you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child
getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and
cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why? Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other
90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the
attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative
comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A
wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting
stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic?

Do you lose your temper?

Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel
fall off)

Do you curse?

Does your blood pressure skyrocket?

Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin
your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It
will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another
job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why
take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control
over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other
passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make
things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be
amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this
principle. The result? Millions of people are suffering from undeserved
stress, trials, problems and heartache. There never seem to be a success
in life.

Bad days follow bad days.

Terrible things seem to be constantly happening. There is constant
stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships. Worry consumes time.
Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the
fullest. Friends are lost. Life is a bore and often seems cruel. Does
this describe you? If so, do not be discouraged..

You can be different!

Understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life.........!!!!!!!

Melai and Jayson of PBB

Due to super hectic schedule, the only TV show that I can watch is Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). And these two casts always make me laugh..

Melissa or "Melai" is known to be a funny, kind but with a little "nagger" attitude while Jayson is super stubborn, as in "pasaway" and has "astig" image, which made them complement to each other.

In this video, Melai and Jayson has their own version of Forever's Not Enough (song of Sarah Geronimo). After this MTV-like presentation, Melai was not able to take a bath.. find out why.. :P

and they are now called.. MelAson... :)

Horoscope for today November 07, 2009

You may have to make some sort of adjustment in your plans at home because of work, Aquarius, or otherwise have to take care of a job situation when you were supposed to be free. This is like an astrological equivalent of being "called in". At the same time, these combinations sometimes work in reverse, in which case you would need to rush home to take care of something. Another way this could manifest is as a consultation with a qualified professional regarding your health. This would be a very favorable day to do so, meaning a positive experience.

Consultation with a qualified professional regarding your health
Still have severe cough and my harsh voice irritating me..But managed to write some blogs, commenting at fb and viewing video clips at youtube!

Newer version of Forevermore...

I like this song :) Originally sung by James Ingram, maybe 80's but I just heard this recently at my mp3 and tonight, and as I browsed youtube, I encountered this video from Onew (Korean singer). This was posted last September this year! His version is a cool one, but it's better to hear also James Ingram's version...

Free to Decide

Aquarian Horoscope for Today
Today the Sun has changed into Scorpio, and this is the celestial house of Career and Reputation for you, Aquarius. What this means is that your qualifications, credibility and performance will be in the spotlight, and your mind will focus on issues of work and career for about a month. There is an outside possibility that you are still undecided, but chances are good that you have made an important decision about your future and well-being. You may be pulling back from the public eye for a couple of days to process new information.

- Just got home.. Still undecided? I remember a line from a song "Free to decide" by Cranberies....

Yes I'm free to decide, I'm free to decide, and I'm not so too decided, after all...

Your Daily Horoscope: October 20, 2009

Today will begin with an issue concerning work or reputation that may look kind of restrictive or even depressing, Aquarius. But this is no reason to feel at a loss, something changes during the day and lets you feel pretty energized. There may be news from afar concerning money or finances. There is also the possibility of a visit (or trip) soon, maybe the news is about that. There is powerful energy about people getting around the boundaries or limits of others today: this could be you or someone getting around you, and you may not want this to happen.

haha very true!

trip next week...

9 Things that Zap your Vitality - by Denise Schipani

I got this article from Yahoo...

Out of Energy?
By Denise Schipani
See nine things that zap your vitality and how to get it back

It's 3 p.m.--do you know where your energy's gone? You probably expect to feel that late-afternoon drag, but you don't always have to. Turns out, some of your regular habits may be sneakily zapping your zip. Fix some or all of these energy stealers, and you just may be feeling brighter this afternoon.

Energy Zapper #1: Being Addicted to E-mail
Isn't being wired to the hilt--e-mail, voice mail, IM, BlackBerry--supposed to boost productivity, freeing up your energy? More often, the opposite is true. If you continually halt what you're doing to answer e-mail, check voice mail, and attend to a thousand other beeps and blips, your attention becomes diluted, which leaves you feeling depleted.

There are two things going on here, says John Salerno, MD, a New York City family physician and director of the Salerno Center for Complementary Medicine. "The brain needs a lot of physical and mental energy to multitask, which gets drained," he says. And continually redirecting your attention from the BlackBerry to other stimuli siphons more energy and distracts your brain further.

Energy Fix
Switch off electronic gadgets during your most productive work hours, which for most people tend to be in the morning, says Laura Stack, author of The Exhaustion Cure. As for e-mail, try to limit yourself to checking it once every hour, instead of hopping to whenever it beeps. (Hint: Turn off the beep sound.) If something pops into your mind that you need to remember--call back your mom, e-mail the soccer coach about the snack schedule--write it down and take care of it later.

Energy Zapper #2: Visual Clutter
We may be used to living in enclosed spaces with lots of stuff--a refrigerator door packed with artwork, a countertop laden with mail, a desk that's little more than a shifting pile of folders and paper--but it's not how we're meant to live, says Dr. Salerno. "Clutter signals disorder, which makes us anxious. Our brains sense that anxiety."

Energy Fix
Do your best to clear visual clutter, so when you look around, your eyes can "rest" rather than dart from mess to mess, says Janice Ash, organization expert and owner of I Declutter!. Instead of layering papers on a bulletin board, leave a small border of space around them. Clear the front of the fridge of all but the most current kids' artwork, and make a habit of leaving the kitchen counter stuff-free before bed each night.

Energy Zapper #3: Being Bored
Ever sat around for an hour or more not tackling a chore or work because it's just so darned monotonous? Mental foot-dragging, boredom and lack of motivation are draining, says Dr. Salerno. "Put simply, we like to see results, and getting things done gives us a mental energy boost." So avoiding tasks deprives you of that high.

Energy Fix
Find a partner for encouragement--a friend, a coworker--and call or e-mail to enlist her in a time challenge. "Say, ‘I'll check back in with you in an hour, and we'll see if we've gotten these reports/ organizing chores done.'" Or promise yourself motivational rewards for completing the task at hand, suggests Dr. Salerno.

Energy Zapper #4: Poor Posture
You already know that not sitting or standing straight is bad for your body. But all that hunching over a computer screen or cradling a phone on your shoulder wreaks havoc on your energy level, too, says Pia Martin, a San Diego health and wellness chiropractor. "When you sit for long periods, you tend to slump forward, leading to rounded shoulders and a tilted lower spine. Your muscles contract, and blood flow is impaired," which limits the amount of oxygen to your brain.

Energy Fix
Sit up straight! Your legs should be at right angles to the floor, your arms at right angles to your keyboard. Be conscious of keeping your shoulders down, not up near your ears. Adjust your computer screen so your eyes gaze at the middle of it. And don't just sit there--if you have to, set a timer to go off hourly to remind you to get up, stretch and get a drink of water. When you get back to your desk, do a quick posture check: Shoulders down! (Reboot your posture with these tips.)

Energy Zapper #5: Toxic Indoor Air
Humming copy machines. Cleaning products. Dry-cleaning chemicals. Synthetic carpeting. Even the desks in your office may be contributing to the load of toxins you breathe each day, because all of them release chemicals into the air. "No one knows for sure how much harm these cause to our bodies, but they do build up over time, and can drain your energy by potentially interfering with thyroid function and overloading the body's detox system," says Frank Lipman, MD, a New York City physician and author of Spent: End Exhaustion and Feel Great Again. (Reduce your exposure to chemical toxins.)

Energy Fix
Get outside. If you're feeling tired, go out for 10 minutes to breathe fresh air. Indoors, cultivate houseplants, which are remarkably good at absorbing toxins. And don't wear shoes inside the house--you're dragging not just dirt indoors on your soles, but pesticides and other harmful chemicals too.

Energy Zapper #6: Eating Too Much at Once
Consuming a big meal is always something that will cause a dip in energy later, but that effect is most noticeable in the afternoon because the slump happens at that reach-for-coffee-or-sugar hour: 3 p.m. Here's what happens: You fill up on a carb- and calorie-rich lunch and, as nutrients are absorbed by your body, excess glucose is dumped into your bloodstream, and your body releases insulin to process all that sugar. "A better idea is to spread out what and how you eat throughout the day to keep energy levels steady," says Gloria Tsang, RD, founder of the nutrition website HealthCastle.com.

Energy Fix
Eat every four hours, instead of the usual six. To reform lunch, "try to brownbag more often than eating out," says Tsang. It's a fact that if you buy takeout or dine in a restaurant, you're likely to eat more. Four hours after lunch, have a snack. If you're going to eat dinner a couple of hours later, keep the snack small, such as half a turkey sandwich, or a yogurt and some crackers. Other ideas: Drink liquids (water, tea) all day. "Dehydration makes you tired, too," says Tsang. If you usually have coffee right after lunch, try it a little later in the afternoon and make it a latte. The caffeine's an obvious pick-me-up, but the little bit of fat and protein in the milk gives you a snack-like boost. (Increase your energy with a smarter lunch.)

Energy Zapper #7: Living in Artificial Light
Our natural body rhythms are keyed to the rising and setting of the sun, says Carol Ash, DO, medical director of Sleep for Life, a sleep-disorder clinic in Somerset, New Jersey. When you open your eyes in the morning and get your first glimpse of sunlight, your brain receives a signal that helps it set its sleep-wake clock for the day. Similarly, seeing sunlight during the day gives your brain a boost. So if you are awake before the sun, and/or don't see much sun all day, your body is experiencing something a lot like jet lag.

Energy Fix
Instead of hitting the coffee cart when you're flagging, hit the sidewalk--the combination of physical exercise and a shot of sunlight will energize you. You don't need much: "A 10- to 20-minute walk in the sunshine will give you a boost," says Dr. Ash.

Energy Zapper #8: Listening to Negative Nellies
You may be upbeat, but it can be exhausting to listen to complainers all day long, whether it's the fellow mom who calls to trash-talk the neighbors or the coworker who never has a positive word to say. It's not your imagination: A 2006 study at Chicago's Northwestern University found that people forced to listen to "high-maintenance" colleagues became frustrated and unfocused, and suffered a decline in the quality of their work.

Energy Fix
Insulate yourself as best you can. If a coworker loves to enumerate her complaints, cut her off with a firm but polite "I really have to get this finished," then smile and get to work. She'll get the message. If it's your own negative thoughts that drag you down, train yourself to banish them by listing, daily, the things you're grateful for, so you can pull out that list when the negative stuff intrudes.

Energy Zapper #9: Holding a Grudge
It takes a surprising amount of energy to remember whom you have a grudge against, and to continually update the faults, missteps and things you're mad about. "Resentment is a huge drain physically as well as mentally," says Dr. Lipman. "Anger, resentment, grudges--all of these emotions are toxic, and we hang on to them in our bodies especially in tense, tired muscles."

Energy Fix
It takes practice, but try to forgive old mistakes. An easy way to start is to simply be aware of the times negative thoughts about others creep into your mind, says Dr. Lipman. "Think of others as flawed humans, which we all are," which makes it easier to forgive-and free up energy.

Horoscope for today 2009/10/18

Remember that you have the right to privacy! If you need some time alone, get it.

Overview
Don't try to deny your feelings today -- most likely you're wearing them on your sleeve anyway! It's just one of those days when emotions run deeply, and that can be a very good thing for you.

Feeling useful is important in anyone's life, because it makes you feel important -- like you matter. Usually, that kind of usefulness is something you seek out in a school or career context. But today, why not explore how you can be socially useful? Help people make party plans, decorate an event room or put together an invitation list. Heck, volunteer to be the designated driver. Any of these will be great ways to show how you matter (in a social context) to your friends.

I said: Well, it's been two days since I update so many important blogs and documents.. Been visiting so many sites lately that caused me to feel that i'm working 24/7 a day..

www.showbiznewsblog.com, an officemate blogsite that awakens my "stalker" ability but this time, it should be hollywood celebrities..yesterday I wrote about Avril Lavigne's divorce issue and today it's about Miley Cyrus who joined the cast of Sex and the City 2 the movie... okay, I admit, I only contributed every weekends...hehe weekly contributor..

www.lyrics-buddy.com, this is our new blogsite we started last week. Beth and I posted the hottest Billboards hitlist! and now that we introduced this to fb, some of our friends started to figure it out... :) we have our own google ads this time..
and yesterday, a comment was received and we felt so happy..really :)

PTC sites, until this moment, I haven't click any ptc site (so very busy updating...yes... a resume...) it's been 5 years since I last updated a resume that's why it took for me two days to complete..with no picture! yay!I need to get one tomorrow..

What pushed me to update my resume? We'll that would be a different story...

Horoscope for Today 2009/10/17 - Aquarius

Someone more intellectual than you will inspire you to buck up on your reading.

It's always nice to be flexible and try to get along with people, but today you should stick to your guns about what you want to do. Don't let groupthink hijack your sense of what is right and what is wrong and don't be afraid to disagree with people. If you become less wishy-washy, you will send a very clear signal to other people that you are not to be underestimated. Pushing your own agenda is not only a perfectly valid thing to do, it's recommended.

Horoscope for Today October 12, 2009 - Aquarius

A certain someone you spend an awful lot of time with is about to let you know that every minute you've invested has and will be well spent. You're set up to learn the depth and breadth of a loved one's feelings, and even if you're single, there's no way you'll miss the enormity of those same emotions coming to you via the casual utterances and behavior of someone you had no idea was as fond of you as they really are.

Ways to Handle Stress

There are several ways of handling stress. When I'm stressed out, I often browse stress related articles in the web or magazines or even in self-help books. But even if there are tons of written topics about stress, there are some techniques that suits to me, but some are not.

1. Talk! They say talking about the stressor can alleviate some of the tension you feel. I say, there are some things that I kept in all by myself.
I follow: Write it out.
I do not: Exercise
But like to try: Hit a pillow.

2. ACT! Be willing to take risk and make change, no matter how small. Try to change the stressful situation, or at least some part of it. Moving forward in small ways helps you feel empowered and in control.

3. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! If you learn about how your body reacts to stress, you can also learn how to counter that stress. Learn to listen to your body's signals and find ways to reduce your stress, even if it's just "taking five" to clear your mind.
Want to Try: Relaxation exercises (E.g. Yoga, meditation, physical exercise)

4. BE IN CHARGE! Discover what you need to feel good about yourself and get your needs met.
I follow: Another way to reduce your stress is to find an interest, hobby or activity where you feel in charge and call the shots.

5. DON'T OVERWHELM YOURSELF: If you are stressed and overwhelmed, perhaps you are trying to handle too much. Rid yourself of extra duties that aren't necessary or important.
I want to: Learn how to delegate and how to say "no" without feeling guilty. Ask for help if you need it.

6. GET AWAY: Sometimes a change, however small, can do wonders for your spirit. Forget it all for a while--escape! Go somewhere new for a few hours, or a few days if you can afford to. If not, it may be helpful just to "get away" to a warm bath for a little while!
I want to do: Spa, massage and a vacation..soon!

7. PRIORITIZE: You may not be able to avoid all the responsibilities obligations you currently have, but you can learn how to complete them without resentment and consciously choose how you will handle them.

8. EXTEND YOURSELF: Make your own life better by making someone else's life better. Give of yourself. Volunteer! You will feel empowered, positive, important...and you will be!

9. MAKE SUCCESS HAPPEN! If you can't change the world, change yourself! Learn how to love yourself as you are, while you work towards your goals. Then, make a commitment to yourself to start improving the things about yourself and your life that (you believe) need it. Instead of immediate, dramatic change, learn to enjoy the journey of lifelong self-improvement.

11. LEARN HOW TO BE HAPPY: One thing all of life's winners have in common is a sense of well-being, a positive attitude and realistic goals. Focus on the good things about yourself, and in your life. Nobody's perfect. Learn to enjoy the "little things" that make you happy. Count your blessings. Every day, write down on a slip of paper one thing you are grateful for, even if it's just a sunny day, a friend's phone call, your cat's happy purr.

Horoscope for for October 10, 2009

Someone in your life says they're making big changes, but are they really? You haven't really seen any results yet and your patience might be wearing thin. There's nothing wrong with asking them about their progress, and today is the day to do it. They might appreciate your prodding -- it's the sign that you are a very good friend. You should encourage them to make the choices that aren't so easy -- let them know that you will be there to support them, however long it takes.

Horoscope for October 9, 2009 - Aquarius

October 9, 2009

You've always considered your coworkers to be your 'other family,' so now, when one of them calls and asks for help, you'll be more than willing to do what you can to take care of it all for them. Remember one thing, though: It's called 'tough love.' In other words, if you've dug them out before and they still haven't done anything to help themselves in the meantime, it might be time to remind yourself of the definition of 'enabling.'

Inspiring Quotations

I love inspiring quotations and sayings! I always take down notes very good lines of sayings because it made me inspire when I'm so down and needing some guidance.I used to collect good and inspiring quotations when I received via text messages or emails. Until now, when I read magazines, I do take down some notes.:)
I also subscribe to Beliefnet.com, because this site sends daily inspiring quotations, even biblical quotations.

Yesterday, I am the in-charge of afternoon section meeting. Our topic is: "What sayings/quotations you strongly believed in?". By the way, this topic is actually my suggestion when our immediate supervisor asked our idea for our next topic for next meetings.

So these are what I shared during our meeting:
1) Ever since I was a kid, I always remember to:
Count your blessings
. It always comes to my mind when I'm sad or seems problematic. This makes me grateful to everything that happens to my life. I always believe that pain/suffering sharpens your strength and it is not healthy if only good things happen to you.

2) About personality differences, this is my way to understand other behaviors.
You cannot please everybody
You may please someone to like you but NOT all. I mean, as long as you didn't do anything against the person, you don't have to worry why he/she didn't like you..

3)In work..well, there are so many sayings about work but this is what I needed most:
Enthusiasm is more powerful than money, power and influence..
.
Whew! I really really need to learn how to make me enthusiastic in my daily work especially now that most of us were demotivated.. :(

In connected to this, I read this title of an article in a magazine, while I'm a salon while waiting for my mom last week:

Can You Love the Job You Hate?

These are the suggested ways of the author, Minnie Francia
1) Make a pain and pleasure list. We are often motivated by the desire toward pressure or to avoid pain
2) Find the source of your discontent.
3) Be a part of the solution, instead of being part of the problem
4) Find friends
5) Take a vacation
6) Be thankful
7) Manage your career
8) Get a reality check

Yay! I think I only dealt with items 4 and 6. For Item#5, I hope we can do this by the end of this month :)

YouTube Day

Here's a list of recent videos I watched the whole day... :) So sad that typhoon "Ondoy" is ruining this day, and I can't even able to step outside because of persistent rain...But I think it's also a good time to bond with your friends through text and to mingle with family..:)

Beer
by Itchyworms
nais kong magpakalasing
dahil wala ka na
nakatingin sa salamin
at nag-iisa
nakatanim pa rin ang gumamelang
binalik mo sakin
nang tayo'y maghiwalay
ito'y katulad ng damdamin ko
kahit buhusan mo ng beer ayaw pang mamatay

giliw, wag mo sanang limutin
ang mga araw na hindi sana naglaho
mga anak at bahay nating pinaplano
lahat ng ito'y nawala
nung iniwan mo ako
kaya ngayon

ibuhos na ang beer
sa aking lalamunan
upang malunod na ang puso kong nahihirapan
bawat patak anong sarap
ano ba talagang mas gusto ko
ang beer na to o ang pag-ibig mo

nais kong magpakasabog
dahil olats ako
kahit ano hihithitin
kahit tambucho

bawat patak anong sarap
ano ba talagang mas gusto ko
ang beer na to o ang pag-ibig mo

giliw, wag mo sanang limutin
ang mga araw na hindi sana naglaho
mga anak at bahay nating pinaplano
lahat ng ito'y nawala
nung iniwan mo ako
kaya ngayon

ibuhos na ang beer
sa aking lalamunan
upang malunod na ang puso kong nahihirapan
bawat patak anong sarap

Daily Horoscope(Aquarius): September 26, 2009

Today will not be too different from yesterday, except for your having a friend around to take the edge off, Aquarius. The tendency towards negative thinking and self-doubt simply cannot exist when you have someone who cares about and supports you around. There might even be an odd remedy, like chocolate, that is given to you that will help boost your spirits somewhat. The most difficult thing about problems is facing them when we think that we are alone. Once we know we have help and support they become challenges that are much easier to deal with.

Horoscope for Today September 24, 2009

Lea viewed today's daily horoscope for Aquarius in Daily Horoscope.

This is another day on which you should be expecting some interference in your financial matters, Aquarius. This interference does not confuse matters or create problems, it just slo...ws things down to a crawl. You should know that this is not something being consciously done, that this is just the nature of things, bureaucracy, inconsiderate people, and those countless others who have no idea how time sensitive your situation is. Chances are good that you will find assistance that helps you resolve whatever the situation is: progress is slow, but sure.

This change could really crystallize when you see yourself behaving in an unfamiliar way in a familiar situation. Maybe you're calmer. Maybe you don't take things as personally. Maybe you stay objective. Maybe you're seeing what it's like to be an adult.
